Nominations are now open for this year’s Nottinghamshire Outstanding Achievement 4Uth Award.

This is the fourteenth year of the awards, set up to recognise the exceptional achievements of inspirational young people from across the county age 11-19 (or up to 25 for young people with a disability) from all seven districts.

Nottinghamshire County Council is encouraging nominations from anyone, including friends, family, schools, youth groups and voluntary organisations, who may know of someone who they think is deserving of this award.

Previous winners have overcome major challenges in their lives, such as trauma, bereavement and illness, and have raised thousands for charity, cared for friends or relatives and gone the extra mile to help others and support their community.

Pom Bhogal, Head of Young People’s Service at Nottinghamshire County Council, said:
“The 4Uth Awards are a fantastic way to shine a positive light on young people in Nottinghamshire and give them the recognition they truly deserve for their determination and incredible achievements.

“There are so many young people who have overcome significant challenges in their lives and should be very proud of themselves - this is our way of celebrating them.

“Of course, they can only receive this recognition if people nominate. Which is why it’s so important that if you do know of someone who could be eligible for this award, you complete the form and submit your nomination before the closing date.”

The deadline for nominations is Friday, 20 June 2025. A panel of judges will assess the nominations and select their district winners before a prestigious ceremony later this year, where an overall winner will be announced.

To send in your nomination, complete this form.
