Nottinghamshire County Council has contacted thousands of families on national offer day, Wednesday, 16 April, about their child’s school place for September 2025.

More than 8,000 applications were received from parents and carers whose children will be starting school in September 2025. This year, 96% of Nottinghamshire children have been offered a reception place at their parents’ first preference school in September, with over 99% securing a place at one of their preferred schools.

Peter McConnochie, Nottinghamshire County Council’s Director of Education and Inclusion, said: “I am delighted that, once again, the vast majority of Nottinghamshire children have received an offer of a place at a preferred primary school this year. This is positive news for parents across the county who are receiving their school place offers today.”

Parents who applied on time using the online portal will be able to log on to their account to view the outcome on Wednesday, 16 April. Emails will be sent throughout the day to all parents who provided an email address.

Parents who did not provide an email address should expect to have their outcome by second class post.
