A new website showing improvements to roads and pavements throughout Nottinghamshire has been launched.

The new site, which can be found at nottshighways.co.uk, allows residents and road users to search across the county to find where resurfacing and patching schemes have taken place. It shows details of the works and in most cases, an image of the completed works.

Over 650 improvements, delivered since spring 2022 by Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, are mapped on site. They include full resurfacing works, the ongoing programme of county-wide mechanised patching and other road surface improvements such as microasphalt works.

The site, which is also accessible through the MyNOTTS App, is updated each week with the latest improvements on roads across Nottinghamshire.

Residents and road users can leave feedback on specific improvements in their area, with users given an option to complete a short survey about the works.

Future planned developments for the site include showing other completed highways works across the county, as well as allowing residents to see where future works are planned.

Councillor Neil Clarke MBE, Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment at Nottinghamshire County Council said: “We’re pleased to launch this new website and hope residents and road users find it a useful tool.

“Through the Highway Services Review, we highlighted the need to move to more ‘right first time’ repairs and increased the amount of large, permanent patch repairs and road surface improvements undertaken in the county.

“The new site shows more than 650 locations in Nottinghamshire where we’ve made road surface improvements in the last 18 months and it’s a number we’re adding to every day.

“While we have made significant progress, with almost 3000 miles of roads to maintain, we cannot repair all the county’s roads immediately and we need to prioritise where these repairs are taking place, but this new site will allow residents to see where these repairs are happening and view the quality of the work delivered.”

Residents can search on the new site by visiting www.nottshighways.co.uk and entering their area, postcode or street address.
