Discounted group bus tickets are back this February half term across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire!

The group ticket discount scheme offers up to a third off selected group tickets across the city and county and will return after successful summer, October and Christmas half terms thanks to the Nottinghamshire and Greater Nottingham Bus Service Improvement Plans (BSIP) – a partnership between Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and local bus operators.

From Saturday 15 February, bus passengers will be able to travel for less as a group with operators including CT4N, Nottingham City Transport (NCT), Stagecoach East Midlands, and trentbarton.

Passengers are advised to check with their operators for ticket terms and conditions.

The discounts will run until Sunday 23 February 2025.

Councillor Neil Clarke MBE, Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “This will be the fourth time that we have run this group ticket offer across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and the numbers tell us that more people are getting out and about to travel by bus thanks to the offer.

“The discount of up to a third off group bus tickets means that Nottingham City Transport’s Grouprider will be reduced from £8.50 to £6, trentbarton’s Zigzag Group Ticket will be reduced from £18 to £12 and Stagecoach’s Worksop Group Dayrider will be reduced from £12.00 to £8.00.

“We are once again proud to be working closely with local bus operators and the city council to bring this offer to passengers.

“Whether it’s Worksop, Retford, Beeston, Ruddington or Southwell, there’s plenty of places to explore by bus this half term.”

Tom Morgan, Managing Director at trentbarton, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer the discounted group travel ticket once again this half term. There are some fantastic places to visit across the region and we hope they continue to attract more people back to the buses and encourage others to give it a go for the first time.”

Anthony Carver-Smith, Head of Marketing and Projects at Nottingham City Transport, said: “It’s great to be supporting the discounted group ticket initiative again with Nottinghamshire County Council and fellow bus operators. At just £6 for unlimited NCT bus for a family during the half term holidays, there’s no better way to get out and about”.
