The UK’s biggest cycling race is coming back to Nottinghamshire on 6 September 2023, and to celebrate we have some great competitions for children aged 4 - 11 to get involved with.
We're challenging schools across the county to come together in their class groups to get creative with recycled materials you might find around the home and create a sculpture, display or land art. The winning class will receive a prize curtesy of Notts Outdoors, the outdoor education and environmental service run by the county council.
There are also a number of exciting competitions, from designing the starting flag, writing a cycling themed story, designing the winner’s trophy and more, for children to get creative with.
Information on how to enter the competitions can be found on our dedicated Tour of Britain website page and the closing date for entries is midday on 14 July 2023.
We also have a short PowerPoint presentation about the Tour of Britain as well as ideas for class activities for primary-aged children that include a wordsearch, design your own bunting and more.
