About this course
This is a 4- week blended learning course suitable for beginners. Week 1 and 2 are online sessions; week 3 will be a field trip to Kings Mill Reservoir (NG17 4PA) with our highly experienced photography tutor and the final week will be classroom based, at the reservoir, look at selecting and editing your best images with a view to submitting for a Miner2Major exhibition of learner’s work.
By the end of this course you will have improved camera skills and visually improved the photographs you take by:
• Knowing when and how to use the camera modes
• Being aware of the different compositional techniques and how they are used in composing a photograph
• Being aware of the physical arrangements of objects, the effect of light and colour can have on the composition of a photograph
The knowledge gained will enable you to progress on to an intermediate photography course.
Learners should bring a camera with camera modes or a mobile phone (however this may limit you to only the photography compositional and observational techniques). An item for close up photography, an item/subject that moves and a suitable item/subject for portrait photography
Kingsmill venue is the Discovery Room, inside the cafe. Please note parking charges apply at this site, a pay and display car park is in operation.
