Trading with China
Nottinghamshire County Council is developing international links to help identify opportunities for local companies to export and develop new supply chains and investment.
As part of this work, we have signed a landmark Friendship Agreement with Zhejiang - a major province in Eastern China.
The Agreement aims to encourage collaboration between Nottinghamshire and Zhejiang to promote trade and investment opportunities and to share ideas and approaches to education, health and social care and culture.
The China (Zhejiang – UK (Nottinghamshire) Trade and Investment Symposium
More than 130 delegates from Nottinghamshire firms and the province of Zhejiang met at the first #NottsChina trade summit at the Nottingham Conference Centre.
The trade summit was the biggest inbound business delegation to the county in 2017 with the focus on business to business meetings to secure new trading opportunities.
The event was the first major outcome of the Friendship Agreement signed between Zhejiang and Nottinghamshire earlier this year .
A delegation from Nottinghamshire intends to visit Zhejiang later in 2017 to look at further opportunities for closer working.
