About the Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire programme
Between 2018 and 2022, superfast (>30Mbps) and ultrafast (> 300MBS) broadband was spread across the county with the Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire programme.
Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire was a £31m+ partnership between the County Council and a range of funding partners including Central Government, Openreach and the area’s district, borough and City councils. The programme built on the commercial rollout of fibre based broadband which alone had provided superfast access to 86% of properties in Nottinghamshire. The Better Broadband for Nottinghamshire programme has ensured that 98.6% of the county's homes and businesses can access superfast broadband. Following the success of this project, we remain committed to spreading the reach of fibre broadband services to as many of the remaining homes and businesses that are currently without it, as possible.
The majority of properties in Nottinghamshire can now access superfast broadband. To see if you can, have a look on the availability checker.
