What is Sustainable procurement?

Sustainable procurement maximises the local impact of the money spent by the council, increasing local benefits for Nottinghamshire and its residents. Sustainable procurement asks the question, for every £1 spent by NCC on goods and services, what added value can that £1 create for the local community.
