Employment training

Our person focused, and strength-based training programme offers places for up to 40 people. We help our trainees to gain relevant work-based skills with a view to securing long term sustainable paid employment.

We have a person-focused approach to our training and everyone is supported according to their individual needs. We offer a wide range of opportunities to gain skills in different working environments, including practical horticulture in our greenhouses and fruit farm, and with retail and customer service in our café, farm shop and garden centre.

In return we only ask that you are motivated and prepared to commit a minimum of three days a week to the training programme. The programmes can last from 12 weeks up to three years depending on each person and we will keep reviewing what is going well as well as the areas that need further development and practice.

Our trainees will also learn skills through our employability programme, which includes all aspects of the job application process, such as writing a CV, job readiness and preparing for interviews.
