Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
The DBS is responsible for processing requests for criminal records checks,
deciding whether it is appropriate for a person to be placed on or removed from a barred list and placing or removing people from the DBS children’s barred list and adults’ barred list.

Organisations can use the County Council Service for a charge – the fee for a standard disclosure is £29 and an enhanced disclosure £44. Nottinghamshire County Council will charge an admin/processing fee of £10 – this service can be accessed by emailing dbs@nottscc.gov.uk
