Commissioning Social Care
Social care is the support we offer to the most vulnerable members of society. This includes older people, people with a physical disability, sensory impairment, learning disability, autistic spectrum disorders (including Asperger's), mental health issues, children and young people and carers.
Commissioning is the process of planning, buying, delivering and monitoring public services. Good commissioning is about improving people’s lives and providing high-quality services that are designed around the individual.
Carers strategy
Nottinghamshire County Council and Local Clinical Commissioning Groups in collaboration with carers have agreed a joint strategy that sets out how we will support carers which is detailed in the Carers' strategy and action plan 2014 - 2015 [PDF].
