Church House Day Nursery
There are four separate age group teams at the nursery, but they always work as one to ensure that each and every child and family is supported, cared for and embraced as part of the nursery family. Throughout the Pandemic, each and every member of the team went above and beyond to reach out and embrace the practical and logistical changes that were required. Their creative ideas and suggestions were inspirational! From creating a video of feeding the nursery fish during the 1st national lockdown (with songs and nursery rhymes included), to sending individual video messages to children via their parents on the nursery WhatsApp group chats, our amazing team of nursery nurses worked both individually and collectively to do something truly special. Whatever the situation, be it COVID or just a cold, wet day, the team adapt, work together and deliver best practice care and beyond …every single time. If any team deserves recognition of Outstanding, then the Church House Nursery Team does!
We really appreciated the way the team worked through the pandemic, they always had big smiles on their faces and kept everything as normal as possible for our little boy. Since then our little girl has settled so well into the baby room, the ladies are all so caring and clearly love being with the children. We also feel that the staff care for the whole family and are always available to chat to about any concerns or to offer helpful advice and encouragement to us as parents. Choosing childcare for our children has been such an important decision but I really remember being shown around Church House and just feeling that it would be a safe and nurturing place for them. The staff are really knowledgeable about child development and encourage learning in a fun and accessible way. It has been wonderful to watch our son and daughter thrive in this environment.
Church House Nursery! You are an outstanding team. You are all absolutely wonderful and we are thankful to have a Nursery and Pre-school where our children are safe, happy and thriving. Thank you for always supporting us with any situations where we have needed to target some support for our children, thank you helping us with transitions of starting nursery particularly all the adapting during lockdowns.
We couldn't recommend you enough and you will always be our nursery of choice. Your care, kindness and tact go a long way! Thank you for teaching our children at the most tender years where everything they learn as that poem goes is learned in kindergarten (nursery as per the UK version). We will remember the nursery days for many years to come all because of you and your team.

I always felt that Church House Day Nursery was well setup from the moment I looked around for the first time. Emma, Shelley and Bai in the Baby room were great and made my visit so welcoming and personable that I was sold straight away. I knew it was the right place to send my baby. The transition through the rooms is brilliant and seamless making it easy for the children to progress through the nursery with ease.
When the pandemic hit the nursery had to make changes to the setup which I think has allowed them to communicate with us as parents in a different way and although I felt informed before I feel the changes have made a positive impact on the relationship I have with the teams.
Each of the teams have played a massive role in my development as a parent as well as both of my sons, helping with key milestones like speech development, potty training and helping get us ready for the move to school. Church House has some very special individuals working there.

Church House Nursery truly go above and beyond for all children. We are so grateful for the care and support that they provide to our children and to ourselves as parents to guide our children in any areas they identify to us they need help with. I couldn't recommend Church House nursery enough!
What is also great about church house nursery is that all staff are so friendly and really put you at ease about things. Considering that some children were new-borns when lockdown started, they really supported us with the transition of our youngest son and it meant the world. They adapted and did everything in their power to keep everyone informed and safe. They made an uncertain situation always certain in terms of their high standards of duty of care. I wish I could nominate them a million times as they deserve a community recognition. They are an amazing Team and our children are so happy there and they are thriving! We have three children at Church House Nursery now and couldn’t praise the entire staff more highly. It was impossible to single out just one member of staff to nominate, because every single one of them is professional, caring, honest and kind.
