District and borough councils

There are seven borough/district councils in Nottinghamshire.

They are responsible for functions such as housing, collecting council tax, pest control, bin collections and parks and leisure centres.

The councils are:

• Ashfield District Council
• Bassetlaw District Council
• Broxtowe Borough Council
• Gedling Borough Council
• Mansfield District Council
• Newark and Sherwood District Council
• Rushcliffe Borough Council.
