Levelling Up
The government announced their Levelling Up plans in February 2022, as part of a bid to spread opportunity and prosperity across the UK, and address underinvestment in areas outside London and the south-east.
The plans commit to address this by 2030, with targets including the rest of the country's local public transport systems becoming much closer to London standards, improving broadband connectivity, improving primary education, and more.
It means that more funding, and potentially new devolved powers, could be coming for Nottinghamshire.
