Diwali orange lamp
You will need:
- 1 (or more) oranges
- Range of colouring paints or sequins (use glue dots if applying sequins)
- Cutting knife (use caution if young children are nearby. Make sure a responsible adults helps)
- Spoon
- Battery powered tea light
- Cinnamon
Method:
- Use your paints/sequins to make lots of patterns all over your orange. Remember, the brighter the better as Diwali is the festival of light.
- Get an adult to help you cut the orange, if you put an elastic band around the middle of the orange then you can use this as a guide to help you cut around the orange's middle.
- Once cut you will need a spoon to gently pull the orange skin away from the orange.
- Brush some cinnamon around the inside of your orange and place your tea light inside.
