Part 6: Next steps

Thanks for making your way through this initial six-part introduction to Nottinghamshire County Council.

We hope the initial induction webpages were useful and that you may be interested in accessing our Virtual Work Experience online learning modules and then afterwards, continuing into an in-person work experience placement.

Step 1: Virtual Work Experience portal (coming soon)

The Virtual Work Experience portal is currently in development. This section will be updated with more details once the portal is available.

Our online learning area will offer a range of modules that reflect the work of our Council’s departments. It will also offer an employability section, supporting skills in applying for and getting the right placement or job for you.

The Virtual Work Experience online package will give you better insight into the Council’s departments, range of opportunities and careers. Hopefully, this will support your decision in choosing what department you would like to apply to for a more in-depth and in-person work experience placement.

Step 2: Apply for the in-person work experience placement

The Virtual Work Experience portal is currently in development. Once this is available, details for applying for the in-person placement will be found on this page.

Once you have finished reviewing the initial induction webpages and completed the learning modules in the Virtual Work Experience portal (coming soon), you will be ready to request an in-person work experience placement.
