Local Aggregate Assessment
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) introduced the requirement for Mineral Planning Authorities to undertake a Local Aggregates Assessment (LAA).
The purpose of the LAA is help the Council as the Mineral Planning Authority to plan for a steady and adequate supply of aggregate minerals by looking at trends in past production and take into account other local considerations.
