Planning monitoring and enforcement
Site monitoring and enforcement is carried out by the County Council in accordance with the Local Enforcement Plan.
Local Enforcement Plan
The Local Enforcement Plan has recently been updated to reflect changes to legislation and national policy, it was adopted as Council policy in January 2021.
The Local Enforcement Plan sets out the Council's approach to dealing with alleged breaches of unauthorised development and regular monitoring of mineral and waste sites within the County.
We monitor sites to ensure:
- compliance with conditions attached to planning permission and legal agreements
- any unauthorised work is brought under proper control
