THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ASHFIELD DISTRICT) LEGAL EVENT MODIFICATION ORDER No. 1 2023
This Order is made by the Nottinghamshire County Council under Section 53(2)(a)
and (b) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 (“the Act”) because it appears to that
Authority that the Nottinghamshire (Ashfield District) Definitive Map and Statement, which came into effect on 1st May 2002, require modification in consequence of the occurrence of events, after that date, specified in Section 53(3)(a) of the Act, namely the coming into operation of enactments or instruments and other events, whereby:-
(i) highways shown or required to be shown in the Map and Statement have
been authorised to be stopped up, diverted, widened or extended;
(ii) highways shown or required to be shown in the Map and Statement as
highways of a particular description have ceased to be highways of that
description;
(iii) new rights of way have been created over lands in the area to which the Map
relates, being rights of way such that the lands over which the rights subsist
are public paths.
