How do I pay for my journey?

Payments can be made via the Nottsbus On Demand app* or alternatively you can pay with cash or contactless when you board the bus.

You can also use your Older Person’s and Disabled Person’s (including companion where applicable) bus pass, which is free after 9:30am on weekdays and all day on Saturdays. Concessionary passes can be added to your user profile in the special settings in the Nottsbus On Demand app.

*If you wish to purchase the Newark all-rounder ticket this will only be available to purchase on the bus for the Nottsbus On Demand service (it will not be available to buy through the app).

How much does it cost to travel using Nottsbus on Demand?

Information on our fares can be found on our 'About Nottsbus On Demand' page.

I have an Older Person’s or Disabled Person’s bus pass (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme). Can I travel for free with Nottsbus On Demand?

Yes, this service is free for Older Person’s and Disabled Person’s (including companion where applicable) bus pass holders after 9:30am on weekdays and free all day on Saturdays. Just go into special settings in your rider profile on the Nottsbus On Demand app, select ‘Concessionary Rider’ and you’ll be all set. Don’t forget you’ll have to show your bus pass when you board the vehicle.

If you’re travelling with someone who doesn’t have a concessionary travel pass, you will either have to pay for their ticket via the Nottsbus On Demand app, or select ‘pay on board’ to pay when boarding.

Can I bring someone along with me?

Yes, you can bring additional passengers as long as there are seats available at the time of booking. This may vary depending on other bookings that have been made for the same time of travel.

Please note that there is a charge for each additional passenger that travels with you. For details of fares please refer to the question ‘how much does it cost to travel’ above. Note: All children, regardless of their age, must be marked as additional passengers when booking your journey.

Can I travel with my dog?

Yes! Dogs can travel for free on this service.

Can I use a network ticket from another bus operator to travel in the North & South Ollerton Zones?

No. Only the specified through tickets brought from another operator will be accepted on the Nottsbus On Demand service.  Details of our through tickets offers can be found in the section 'How Much Does It Cost to Travel on Nottsbus On Demand?'

If travelling using a through ticket purchased on another service, just select ‘prepaid ticket’ when booking using the app and present your ticket when boarding.

I have paid for a through ticket but I cannot see it in the app – where can I find it?

If you have purchased a through ticket on the Nottsbus On Demand app and need to show it to the driver when you board your connecting bus, you will be able to find it under ‘History’ in the main menu of the Nottsbus On Demand app.
