Nottinghamshire Community Heroes Award
We want to recognise people in our county who are going the extra mile to help their neighbours and local community.
If you know someone in your community who deserves recognition for the things they do to support their local community, please nominate them for a Nottinghamshire Community Hero Award.
The Awards aim to highlight people who are making Nottinghamshire a great place to live, work and visit.
The Awards are open to anyone living in Nottinghamshire who work or volunteer on a regular basis to help make other people's lives better.
We are looking for people who go the extra mile in their local community.
It might be helping vulnerable people with shopping or providing a lift to a medical appointment, supporting young people in their community or leading a local community project which has made a difference to people's lives.
Every few months, the Chairman of the County Council will select one person who they believe deserves an extra special thank you. They will receive the Chairman's Award and meet with the Chairman of the County Council.
