Promoting Positive Behaviour Through Emotion Coaching

Target audience

This is an ideal opportunity for a manager and a senior practitioner who
•    Works in a Nottinghamshire Ofsted registered Early Years setting this includes childminders.
•    Is level 3 or above qualified.
•    Has a leadership or management responsibility (including Childminders) in the setting.
•    A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an early years setting.
•    Is committed to continuous professional development.
•    Has the support of their owner or manager. 

Maximum of 2 practitioners per setting.

About this course

The intention of this training is to introduce Early Years settings to Emotion Coaching. Emotion Coaching helps children to understand their own feelings and begin to regulate their behaviour. It has been designed to support adults with the skills to ‘Respond in the Moment’ (Golding) to ‘Emotion Coach’ children when they are overwhelmed by their emotions. 

What does the programme include? 
•    One half day free training on the use of the toolkit 
•    Ongoing support the Early Years Quality and Attainment team.

If you have booked a place but find you cannot make it, remember to cancel your place so others can attend.

If you fail to attend a course you have booked on without cancelling your place via your Eventbrite account no refund will be given.
