Introduction to Virtual Work Experience
Our work experience offer
Thank you for considering Nottinghamshire County Council for your work experience. The way we operate has changed over the past few years, which has seen many more employees than ever before working in a hybrid way. This means people are working more remotely from their offices either at home or at an office base closer to where they live. As a result, we have developed a hybrid work experience model that reflects the way or employees now work.
This initial induction package gives an overview of the Council, what we do, and the services we provide. You can work through this area remotely and do not need special permissions to access this content.
There is also a workbook designed for you to find out more about some of the many services the Council offers. You can find this in the Workbook and exercises section.
Once you have completed reviewing this initial induction area you can access our Virtual Work Experience online learning course.
The Virtual Work Experience online learning course includes:
- A range of modules reflecting the diverse roles of our departments and giving you a real-life experience of some of the work the Council does
- An employability section supporting your skills in applying for and getting the right job for you.
By completing our initial introduction and accessing relevant content on the Virtual Work Experience online learning modules you will have a better insight into our departments, an idea of the range of opportunities and careers we offer, and what to do next if you would like to continue your work experience journey with us.
The Virtual Work Experience online learning modules have special permissions and require an account to be set up.
When you have reviewed the information in our six-part introduction to Nottinghamshire County Council area and are ready to complete the Virtual Work Experience online modules, visit the next steps to Virtual Work Experience page for more information on how to get started.
