Monitoring
The main purpose of monitoring is to look at the overall planning context, to assess the effectiveness of the County Council’s planning polices and to review progress in preparing new planning policy documents.
Previous monitoring reports have covered both minerals and waste but are now prepared separately for the Minerals Local Plan and the joint Waste Local Plan and Waste Core Strategy with Nottingham City Council. These are focused on individual plan progress and the specific monitoring and implementation frameworks for each plan.
A Local Aggregate Assessment is also produced annually to identify local apportionment figures for all aggregates minerals. This can be viewed here.
Minerals Local Plan
Following the adoption of the Nottinghamshire Minerals Local Plan in March 2021, a monitoring report for the new Plan is being prepared. The below Monitoring report relates to the old Nottinghamshire Minerals Local Plan.
