Bridges

We have responsibility for over 1,000 road bridges and culverts (tunnels under roads allowing water to drain) in Nottinghamshire.

These bridges carry the county road network over rivers, railways, canals and other roads.

Report a damaged bridge or other problem

If you have you noticed a damaged bridge please report it using our online form.

Problems with bridges on trunk roads should be reported to A-one+ on telephone: 0844 372 8381.

Trunk roads

There are also 150 road bridges on trunk roads (M1, A1, A46, A52 and A453) in Nottinghamshire. These bridges are managed by A-one+ on behalf of National Highways.

Privately owned bridges

There are 90 privately owned bridges maintained by organisations such as Network Rail and the Canals and Rivers Trust.
