Summary

This policy sets out when and how the Local Authority will ensure that Nottinghamshire Children and Young People have access to learning when mainstream education is not available or appropriate and no arrangements for a suitable education have yet, or can be, put in place by a school. This policy considers the duties set out in Section 19 of the Education Act 1996; Section 61 of the children and Families Act 2014 and Section 100 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006
