Most people are naturally competitive, which is why whole school / classroom competitions and challenges are a great way for children to get engaged with safe and sustainable travel.
National Events
See the calendar of events for all activities and events run nationally, some of these involve a competitive element, either within school or between local schools. For many of the events, prizes and certificates can be ordered from the organising bodies to five out to pupils.
In school competitions and challenges
These activities are a great, low cost, way of getting pupils engaged with your push for sustainable travel. Prizes could include non-school uniform days, golden time or extra break times.
